Summer Va-Ca, San Diego | Arizona Family Photographer

Since my forever friend lives right on the beach in San Diego, we take advantage of this and visit during their best weather and Phoenix's worst weather (July). For the last 9 summers we have made the drive over to visit and reconnect. For the last two years we were so blessed to rent a house a throws distance away from Kelly, Mike and their baby Grayson (Grayson is two weeks older than Bri...We couldn't have planned it better). This house is also a 30 second walk away from Mission Bay, aka baby beach and a two minute walk to Mission Beach.
This trip was well deserved and much needed. The way Brian and I vacation is we relax... We might go and visit a zoo or park, but for the most part... we have NO agenda! Like most years, each day we would load up on our bikes and ride to breakfast (we have several "musts" to eat at each trip). These rides were relaxing and needed after all the delicious food!
We also played on the bay side at Mission. Bri especially enjoyed this. She was able to crawl (yes, crawl.. I know she's 16 months and was not walking fully. A week after our trip she started walking on her own) in and out of the water and played in the sand. We went over to the beach side one day and it was not as easy with Bri. She got knocked over a couple times. Bri did not like this as much. ;) So we stayed where we belong, the baby side. We also visited a park several times. Until now Bri has not liked swings or slides. Well, we have growth... She loved all of it this time. In fact, we had to pry her off of the slides.
After playing on the beach or in the park, the hubs would create an amazing dinner for all of us. It was so nice to sit out on the patio, eat, drink, and reconnect with our amazing friends. I enjoyed this time the best! The babies were sleeping and it was just like the old times. We look forward to this trip every year! We truly enjoy the environment, the weather and the ability to relax.

As I edited our vacation pictures, I realized they are VERY Bri heavy. There are not many pictures with Brian or I in them. AND there is not a SINGLE one with all three of us in it. In the future, I will be brining my tripod, using my timer and attempt to get all of us in a picture more often. These pictures were taken by Me and my husband on my Nikon D600 and my iPhone.
