Brody's Woodland Nursery

If you don't know, our family loves the outdoors. I grew up camping, Brian hunted in high school and now we hunt and camp SEVERAL times throughout the year. When we found out that we were having a boy, I instantly began looking at ideas for boy nursery. Up until this point all I had ideas for had to do with PINK. As I looked and looked and looked, I did not like what I was seeing. Nothing spoke to me. I found some bedding that I kind of liked, but it was way out of our price range. But the good thing was, it gave me a starting place for what I ended up with. I wanted Brody's room to encompass what we love, I wanted it to be manly, I wanted it to be something for him to grow into. I started collecting items from Hobby Lobby (too much to list), antique shops (small deer horns), Brian's parents house (many of the vintage toys/tractors/cars), my dads hunting collection (large deer horns, a hunting dog picture painted by my grandfather), Amazon, eBay, etc... So this is what we came up with. I would say this is "woodland vintage". Brian built the shelves and the super awesome Radio Flyer wagon shelf. My mom and my sister spent a morning with me setting up Brody's room. I really had no plan to begin with, but everything just fit perfectly! I know this style is not for everyone, but for us and Brody, it is perfect!
