Jacobson Girls | Tempe AZ, Family Photographer

Shannon has always been a life line to me! We met while teaching and we kicked it off instantly (She's a ASU Sundevil, how could we not have??). I could always count on Shannon to tell me like it is! I loved her passion and spunk and just her overall spice! Of course after we became great friends, Shannon and her husband Brad moved to South Dakota. They moved because they love the very LONG and COLD winters in SD. HAHA NOT even close! They really moved there for work and to be closer to family. I guess I can understand that. =) We both started having babies around the same time which has been fun! Reese is 2 months older than Bri (my daughter) and Riley is 4 months older than Avery. So every question, fear or just any unknown, I have called Shannon and she has talked me off the edge of the cliff! I love her dearly for that! Something Great about Shannon is she LOVES the heat, I know seems a little crazy, but she tries to visit every SUMMER. Not too many people visit AZ in the summer. It even may seem crazier that she came this last year with two kids! She is my hero! When she comes I drop everything and spend as much time as possible with her and her family.  Her last visit was this summer and she stayed at the Arizona Grand; what a beautiful backdrop!

Kamboukos Family | Mesa, AZ Family Photographer

Lorie and I go WAY back, like 20+ years, slumber parties, play dates, birthday parties and probably getting into trouble and she hasn't changed a bit! She is kind, enduring, warm, friendly, helping, loving... The list goes on and on! And Bill was just as kind! What a sweet loving couple! After years of not being in contact Lorie, besides on Facebook, she asked me to take her families pictures! What an honor and privilege! Eden, Bill and Lorie's 6 month old baby is seriously the cutest babe! She was perfect! I think she is used to the camera always pointing at her. ;) I couldn't have asked for a better family to capture! They live right on a Phoenix golf course! This was a great back drop for an already gorgeous family! XOXO

Hough Family | Gilbert Family Photographer

I feel so lucky to have become close with this AMAZING family! Jen and I teach together at Houston Elementary School in Gilbert, AZ. Her two girls are in 4th and 5th grades there too. It was so fun to work with, see and experience such a fun and happy family. They seriously made my job SO hard... I had to narrow down only the best of the best images! You guys are amazing! Thank you for sharing your family with me!

Bruning Family | Mesa Family Photographer

Kelly and I have known each other since we were three. She is what I would consider my forever friend. We met in the alley between our houses soon after my family had moved in. We went to elementary school, jr high, and high school together. We played softball and volleyball together for years. We got in trouble together and have had so much fun together. We have beyond endless memories together! Our babies were also born only two weeks apart. Even if we have had rough patches, drifted apart, not talked in a month, Kelly and I have always reconnected. I love her and her family so dearly. I had the pleasure to capture their love for each other when we visited San Diego in July. Kelly and Mike we love you forever and always!

Summer Va-Ca, San Diego | Arizona Family Photographer

Since my forever friend lives right on the beach in San Diego, we take advantage of this and visit during their best weather and Phoenix's worst weather (July). For the last 9 summers we have made the drive over to visit and reconnect. For the last two years we were so blessed to rent a house a throws distance away from Kelly, Mike and their baby Grayson (Grayson is two weeks older than Bri...We couldn't have planned it better). This house is also a 30 second walk away from Mission Bay, aka baby beach and a two minute walk to Mission Beach.
This trip was well deserved and much needed. The way Brian and I vacation is we relax... We might go and visit a zoo or park, but for the most part... we have NO agenda! Like most years, each day we would load up on our bikes and ride to breakfast (we have several "musts" to eat at each trip). These rides were relaxing and needed after all the delicious food!
We also played on the bay side at Mission. Bri especially enjoyed this. She was able to crawl (yes, crawl.. I know she's 16 months and was not walking fully. A week after our trip she started walking on her own) in and out of the water and played in the sand. We went over to the beach side one day and it was not as easy with Bri. She got knocked over a couple times. Bri did not like this as much. ;) So we stayed where we belong, the baby side. We also visited a park several times. Until now Bri has not liked swings or slides. Well, we have growth... She loved all of it this time. In fact, we had to pry her off of the slides.
After playing on the beach or in the park, the hubs would create an amazing dinner for all of us. It was so nice to sit out on the patio, eat, drink, and reconnect with our amazing friends. I enjoyed this time the best! The babies were sleeping and it was just like the old times. We look forward to this trip every year! We truly enjoy the environment, the weather and the ability to relax.

As I edited our vacation pictures, I realized they are VERY Bri heavy. There are not many pictures with Brian or I in them. AND there is not a SINGLE one with all three of us in it. In the future, I will be brining my tripod, using my timer and attempt to get all of us in a picture more often. These pictures were taken by Me and my husband on my Nikon D600 and my iPhone.
